Flycat - Cut Out Animation

Flycat was a college project which asked for an animation, which required the use of 'After Effects' which i was not to keen on. To be honest it took a lot to persuade the tutor that i wanted to do a cut out which i thought would be easier and something i already knew how to do.

This animation was created using cut out figures just like with Flutter, this animation was to resemble a different background to Flutter's concept. Which contained the Crow and a Caterpillar, telling the story of life and the cycle of life.

Pre-production was fluent with a clear idea of what i wanted to achieve, however when it came to making the footage i started to use After Effects. Though i think After Effects was a great program to use, i felt i was not accustomed to it and with the time i had i wanted to take the ruote i felt i could do better with.

The footage was not 100% what i wanted, but it worked well and passed expectations. The video was released May 21st 2018 shortly after my radio video.
